My review about Enders might contain spoilers about Starters. As I said: the story is good, but it is too long-winded in my opinion. Over all I would recommend this book, but only if you have nothing to read. At some points the story could have had a bit more progress to it, so that the book was less long-winded. I'm guessing that the reason why I did not like this book that much, is because some parts are a tad boring. I prefer the black and white covers over the coloured ones. The cover of both books is a drawing of Callie by Michael. Michael draws humans with a twist: the humans have two different eye colours. The cover of the book (the black and white one) fits into the story. This really shows what humans are capable of (and that this should not happen). This reminded me of the Flare, the illness in The Maze Runner. The spores in the Spore Wars are invented by humans. Callie's character had quite some depth and I could definitely imagine myself feeling like her if I were in her situation. Still, for some reason, I did not enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed reading other YA books. The idea behind this book is very original and I haven't found a book like this.

And Prime Destinations has a different goal than what Callie had imagined. Then, Callie discovers that her renter is planning to do something very dangerous using Callie's body. Callie then pretends to be the renter, as she doesn't want Prime Destinations to find out that something is wrong. Callie 'wakes up' to find herself in the life of the renter (it is very hard to explain this part, but there are basically two people inside Callie's head, controlling her body: herself and her renter). The neurochip implanted in Callie's head, however, doesn't work the way it shoud. The teenager 'sleeps' for a certain amount of time, while the Ender takes over the body of the teenager and uses it. This is a company that hires teenagers to rent their bodies to Enders (seniors they can be 65, but also 180 years old). When Callie, Tyler and Michael lose all their possessions and are in a desperate need of money, Callie does something she never expected herself to do: she visits Prime Destinations. Callie's little brother Tyler has a rare form of pneumonia, but he cannot get any medicine, because those are too expensive. Together with their friend Michael they live in old, abandoned buildings.

Callie and her little brother Tyler lost their parents this way.

The Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the age of 20 and 60.
